The medical industry is moving towards a pay for performance model for payer reimbursement to medical provides.  The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has published performance and reporting guidelines for which all medical providers must comply.  This has medical providers scrambling to compile reports that must be delivered on time.  Additionally large medical organizations want identify and correct under performers before the reporting period deadline.

Electronic Medical Record providers and medical analytics companies are scrambling to provide the data analytics, data visualizations and dashboards to address the new requirements.  MTG was hired by one of the leading providers to build a physician performance dashboard for one of their largest customers.  This effort included extensive monthly data export, transformation and load into highly tuned data marts and cubes.  This data was rendered into a customizable, high performance web based dashboard with uniquely designed data visualization instruments.  Our technology stack included:  Angular.js, ASP.net, MVC4, HTML5, Javascript, CSS 3/SSAS, jQuery, KendoUI, SignalR, D3 and C3.  We used a modified agile project development methodology.

We delivered the finished product on time and under budget.  We were asked to build another product for this same customer to address the Physicians Quality Reporting Systems (PQRS) requirements.  Technology reuse was key to delivering a PQRS product in time to address market demand.
